Howie Wu is Head of Product for Seattle Bank and General Manager of CD Valet. Howie drives innovation of digital banking solutions to enhance client experience, expand Partner Banking capabilities and manage CD Valet. Launched in late 2022, CD Valet is an easy-to-use website and national marketplace that delivers consumers the most relevant and unbiased Certificate of Deposit (CD) rates from more than 2,500 local and national financial institutions.

Howie has more than 15 years of experience providing leadership, strategic planning, and development expertise in the digital delivery of banking services. He formerly served as Head of Digital Strategy, Research and Innovation at First Republic Bank, San Francisco where he led digital strategy and product management focused in the areas of online and mobile banking, account origination, payments, and digital wealth management. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Digital for more than a decade at BECU, one of the nation’s largest credit unions. He was responsible for the overall remote delivery channel vision, strategy, solutions development and execution of BECU’s full digital product suite.

Developed by Seattle Bank to serve consumers the “straight up rates,” CD Valet is unlike other CD rate comparison sites as it shows the most competitive rates without bias as it does not use a “pay-to-play” approach or accept promotional dollars. For financial institutions, CD Valet offers a new channel to easily raise retail deposits from a targeted local or nationwide CD marketplace.

Howie earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in accounting and management information systems from Washington State University.
